How would you compare the road noise. Which one has more noise and vice versa?
Appreciate any response.
I haven't used GoodYear Triplemax, but I would be very surprised if they were less noisy than Contis. The Contis are noisy, but only when compared with the likes of Michelin XM2, etc. From what I understand, Triplemax will last longer than CC5 and XM2, but will be definitely more noisy.

Re: VW Ameo tyre query: Stuck between Michelin and Continental tyres

I replaced the Goodyear assurance tyres on my Ameo diesel with the Continental CC5 after completing 50k on the odometer. The tread had worn out quite fast in the 2 years despite most of the driving on highways with sedate speeds and good roads.

Due to the pandemic I have not been driving much and have only driven 14K KM since the first lockdown. The tyres according to me are decent. They offer good grip and are also quite comfortable. I found the Goodyear tyres harder and in terms of noise the diesel clatter is more than the tyre noise so cannot comment on it

Re: VW Ameo tyre query: Stuck between Michelin and Continental tyres

Thank you to BHPian Drrams for creating this thread! I am stuck in a similar situation. I hope you don't mind me sharing my dilemma as well.

I own a VW Vento and the stock tyres have the following spec: 185/60/R15 88H and they are running on Apollo Alnacs.

The car is due to complete 7 years soon and the Alnacs have gone extremely hard. Additionally, this has started to give me suspension problems due to the very tough rubber compound of the tyre.

I aim to keep my car tyres stock size and am unable to find Contis that fit the exact stock spec mentioned above, I am only able to find 185/65 R15 88H. Others have a lower load rating or different dimensions.

The choice now is between Yokos, Contis and Michellin. My commute is on my Mumbai roads and my yearly running is a maximum of 3,000 Kms a year only.

All advice and feedback on the same is welcome! Thank you!
