No offence. Have some mercy on that little 1.1L engine..
I feel 175/60-13 is more than sufficient for a Santro..

thanks & Regards,

In 14" only options you have are :
175/60 R14 YOKOHAMA A539
175/60 R14 GOODYEAR
185/55 R14 YOKOHAMA S.drive

Above three are very much avialable in market, I would suggest you to go for 185/55 R14 because in case of 175/60 R14 overall diameter change is more than 3%.

175/60-14" is a wrong upsize and i'm sure it will scrape and touch on all the wheel wells.

And who do you think cares about that ?

Man, seriously, i advice you to stick to your company OE sizes for your santro, I am sure you are not expecting extreme performanes from your santro. For a regular drive, get michelins or better tyres in your stock size.
cheers

In addition to that, your ride will be really harsh if you go for 50 profiles on a Santro. The suspension is set up kind of stiff anyway... you really feel the bumps. Add low profiles to that, and you're asking for bone-jarring trouble.
My advice would be to stick to the 13" in 165 or 175.

Actually, upsizing to 165/65/13 on good rubber makes a world of difference in a Santro, especially at high speeds (not neccessarily extreme performance, but high enough).

Re: Tyre UP-One Size 0f 155/70 R13 to 175/55 R14 or 185/50 R14 availability in chenna

The ideal upsize for the santro is 195/45 r14 and not 195/50 R14 because this gives a % variation from standard of -2.9 which is just in the accepted range of +/- 3% you go any higher on the profile it will hit the wheel well.i had been using the 195/45 r14 on the santro for the past 3 yrs and I was very impressed with the quality of the ride to my surprise .the tyres where hankook ventus prime and my it is a gem of a tyre even after 3 yrs and running 35k the tyre thread is like new but I burst one tyre when the car fell into a pothole in the present rains and this tyre is not available in the whole of India due to some ISI issues it seems the tyre companies need to pay around 3 Lakhs for getting a license for each size and it just happens since this is a very infrequently sold size they have not applied for the license so I am planning to change to 185/50 R 14 for both the front tyres alone and keep the back at 195/45R14 don't know if it will cause issues. You can check out my car at introduce yourself section - Santro nicknamed batmobile ,it has made it to the top 20 of the most viewed in that section along with the ferraris and masseratti intros
