Hi! I am thinking of buying a Ford Fiesta 1.6 Limited Edition. The vehicle is shod with 14" steel rims & MRF ZV2K 175/65 R14 tubeless tyres. I plan to buy 14" Ford alloys & the dealer is quoting 19.5K for 4 rims. I am also thinking of replacing the tyres with Michelin XM1+ 175/65 R14, for which my tyre shop is quoting 3700 per piece. I am not sure if this is with or without Michelin warranty. He is willing to give me 1800 - 2000 for the MRFs.
I am unwilling to upsize as I do not want to compromise my Ford warranty.
Are these sensible plans or can I get better/ cheaper?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this is the right thread. This one is for the Fusion actually.

Actually try getting the 15" OE Alloys that come as a standard on the Fiesta 1.6S. And they come with Goodyear 195/55R15 Eagle NCT5s. Since they fit a Fiesta Variant, I doubt you should have any warranty problems.

If you want, you can get lovely Assurances in that size too.

Cheers,

Glifford.

Thanks, Glifford. And sorry for posting in the wrong thread. I am starting a new thread, as I have many more questions. Team BHP moderators may transfer my question to that thread if appropriate.

Hi DeepFusion,

Sorry for a delayed reply! Was off TBHP for a while!

Well haven't driven much since October last when I got them fitted. Barely some 1200-1300 km. Have had one puncture.

Tyres have held up well and supremely confidence inspiring. Never once have they shown any signs of slippage. Must admit, not done a serious out of town trip as well!

Follow that thread for updates.
