But for other 800cc Alto's it would be a strain I guess.
His alto is 1.1 . he can shod 195/45/R14 as he got mods on it too.

yes alto 1.1 can pull anything along with it. mine is poor 800 cc with just K&N. i cant bear a single KG of overweight. as it is its a slow machine.
then 155/65/r13 is the best option on 13" wheels right?

Yes if you want to keep your steering lighter then 155 is the way to go. Check out Dhars gallery http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indiancarpicture-877.html Very very sexy car .

165 will have better cornering at high speeds being wider than 155. Also amit keep in mind regarding alloys width should not exceed 5J.

they look big on 800. also it seems that ur car is lifted well above the ground. it might have changed ur dynamics. i think u dont feel difference on steering as 800 is lighter than alto. i think 155/65 will be better.

Amit,

there are only a couples of choices available in 13"x5J but in AURA and NEO.

check their sites if you like.

i also wanted to change alloys in my zen but cudnt find anything much in 13"x5J so dropped the idea.

that means i have to go for 5.5J and press the inner arches of my wheels. also does it mean that i have to go for spacers?

As per what i know, anything above 5J can have some implications on the vehicle and thats why not advocated.

Somebody who has been using 5.5J in 13" can shed more light on this.

Anyways in 13x5J the following models are available

AURA --- F61350,C9350,D3350,A8350

NEO --- Rally,Star(but not sure)

check them out, maybe you l.ike some.

As Sunny pointed out, 5J available in Aura only (1 or 2 models in Neo also i think). Check out knightrider's garage. he has 13" aura 5Js.

5.5J causes scraping of rear tyres. and more importantly, as per tyre manufacturer's specs, for 155/65/R13 the max rim width is 5J. bending metal would be required but spacers wont be necessary.

So its a compromise between style, choice and implications.

I think plati / SST / HR got alloys with 5J width. Check them out.

Try out the Palti M6 Replica with Black inner and metallic spokes will look killer on your car Amit.
