You may even try this from Redsoul. Redsoul's reverse parking sensors are really good cant say about the air compressor.

I came across this air pump :
eBay India: 12V CAR ELECTRIC AIR COMPRESSOR PUMP / TYRE INFLATOR (item 310221669746 end time 20-Jul-2010 12:29:51 IST)

1) Is this one or another similiar one like this one worth their price?

2) How long does it take to inflate from 14 psi (the deflated pressure of my tubeless tyre) to 30 psi (the correct pressure for my tubeless tyre) with such a pump?
I bought this pump from ebay. But all i can say is its worthless..its very difficult to connect it to car's valve. and also it vibrates like hell when u place it in the floor. I would rather buy a manual foot pump than using this.

Thank you! I almost bought this one - and then went on to read (on the seller's page itself) that the "meter DOES NOT indicate tyre pressure" - then why on earth do they have that there?!?

Gents,

I picked up a 12volt digital tyre inflator under the brand name LIMI, it is manufactured by a local Pune automotive firm and carries 1 yr comprehensive warranty, moreover I also know of folks who are happy users for over a year now, this limi has good cable length to reach all 4 wheels in my rather longish Muv and takes few minutes from flat to full, in addition it has memory function, led lamp and sos flasher wrapped up in a smart case.

just as an fyi, I have used 3 foot pumps in the last 20 years (all made in china) and was tired of it

the MRP is 2950/- but a direct buy gave me a discount of around Rs.600/-

I am happy with my buy, has taken my worry off and the led lamp is an added advantage

lemme know if anyone needs further details

Re: Looking for a good quality Air foot pump

Hi,

Ok. my info is not abt Foot pump.(but it is about air pump)
but neverthless, i just want to share information ;
yesterday i brought coido 2153 12v car air-compressor, from spar bannerghatta.

Cost. Rs. 999. after discount.(before discount Rs 1499)
Company make: coido 2153 model.

inital feel: it makes sound while operation. but i think it is normal for all air pumps.(operated electrically)
it takes about 20 secs for 1 psi increase.
looks nice with on-off switch and length of cord is long enough for all fr tyres.

attaching some pics

Re: Looking for a good quality Air foot pump

Thanks for the info guys. I'm looking for one and would need some details abt Coido & LIMI

@Navrddy, What about warranty and service support in India for Coido?

@Anupam, Can you give me dealer details for B'lore for LIMI? Also, shed some light on your experience with LIMI so far.

Re: Looking for a good quality Air foot pump

No warranty with coido.
So i pray to god, that it should last at-least 3 or 4 yrs.
nevertheless build and finish is good.

One day, using my digital tyre pressure gauge, I found the pressure in the left rear tyre of my Swift VDi to be 12psi! Immediately used this foot pump I had bought for Rs.300/- to inflate it to 30 psi and drove to the nearest tyre repair shop around 5 kms away. The tyre repair guy found a 2 inch nail stuck in the tyre!

I don't remember how much time it took. All I can tell you is that at the end of it I was left gasping for breath!

Re: Looking for a good quality Air foot pump

I'm torn between buying an electric vs foot. OK. So I decided to take things one at a time doing experiments on my own.

I have just bought puncture repair kit and a foot pump and will be taking it with me on my long trip this weekend. I noted that the unit on the foot pump is kg/cm3 or kg/cm2 (?) I don't have the pump with me; I'm in office. Could someone point out how to convert this to the "psi" unit which we normally use? Say 30 psi?

Re: Looking for a good quality Air foot pump

I bought this for my cycle.
FLP 5000 Cycling Air Pumps - Decathlon India

But it works fine for the car and bike as well.

Its WAY better than the foot pumps, I have used before.
