Keep it between 30-31 psi, ride will be much better, depending upon load you are carrying and condition of road you will travel frequently.
Folks,
I'm owning Tata Sierra Turbo and my stock tyres are 215/75/R15, recently i changed to Machellin 235/75/R15. Now the tyres are touching on the Mudguards/ Flaps & Bumber. Please help me to solve this.
As far as I know, you only option is to change the tyre because you have gone way overboard by increasing the tyre diameter by 30mm (more than 1"). AS per Michelin chart
Michelin India - Tyre Upsizing Tips the optimum upsize for you is 225/70R15.

This is a real good information, specially the knowledge level you gain after going through the topics, it's immense. Thanks a lot.
Just booked a ritz and will be upgrading the wheels and tyre's as soon as it comes of the showroom. the base model comes with a 165/80/r14 on the lxi.
Just needed the help of the bhp brains as to what the best upize would be? dont want to compromise on comfort and something which will give the least suspension wear. The car wont be going through any performance upgrades, just wheels/tints/ice. completely stock. thanx all
This is a no brainer, go for 185/70/R14, this will give you the best possible ride, comfort and handling. Will fit in stock steel rims if you dont want to spent on alloys.
Since comfort i would recommend Michellin XM1+ slightly expensive but worth it!
ive seen the zxi with the 185/70r14 profiles that u mentioned. the mags n tyres just dont look that great on it, thats why i was thinking of atleast going with 15's and 195/60? maybe?
You can go with 195/60/15 or 195's in 14" but 15" will be a slight compromise on the ride and you will need to spend more money with tires (15" slightly more expensive compared to 14 IIRC).
Tyre upsize for Fiat Siena
Car Model : 2004 Fiat Siena 1.6 ELX
Stock Tyres : Tubed 175/65/14
Rims : Standard
Kms done with Stock Tyres : 53000 kms
Looking to change & upsize - I have been happy with Bridgestone - both on my car & my father's Alto
1. which tubeless Bridgestones & size are best ?
2. i want to continue with stock rims - do they need some treatment before fitting the tubeless on them ? Or should I replace them ? - 1 rim which is the stepney now has been hammered twice to be put back in shape as it ran over huge potholes
Just Checked the Bridgestone India website - it says
Tyres : 185/65/14
Options :
1: GIII Potenza Tubeless
2: B250 Tubeless
What is the correct upsize for the 2009 ford ikon(1.4 tdci)??
Can 15inch alloys be fitted to it? If yes, then what is the correct tire size for 15inch wheels on the 2009 ford ikon(1.4tdci)?
PS: The stock size is 175/70/13
Pahari - You can also try 195/60 R14 provided the rims are at least 5.5J wide.
BBS - Stick to 185/60 R14. 15" are generally a no-no.
How much difference will it make if I swap my 185/65 R14 with a 195/60 R15 on my i20? I know its not the right upsize, but that is the only size available for Mich Primacy LC tyres, which I prefer due to its low noise. Is there a chance of tyres scraping the arches? There is approx 0.7" increase in dia.
I find that i20 already comes with 185/60 R15 and 195/50 R16 tyres abroad which are better fits.
delete thread, wrong post here
I switched from 165/65 r13 to 185/60 r13 on my indica stock rims and now my brakes have become very weak and i have to press the brake really hard and still its not that effective, is this problem because of the 4.5 inch rims since 5 inch is min size for 185 or should i change my front tires back to 165 since this problem is not there with my old tires
