ANHC..what's your Tyre OEM?

Just curious..does ANHC comes with more than one Tyre OEM...the models I recently checked in the showroom were sporting GoodYear..but my Tyre shop person said that if I ask dealer he can provide me the ANHC with either Michelin or MRF which are the other OEM (i.e no extra cost)..infact he suggested that I should insist to get Michelin as they have better value than GoodYear stock tyres.

Can someone confirm what's the Stock Tyre that you have seen/got on ANHC?

MRF ZTX or ZSLK is also an OEM tire for ANHC.

I think I read in a magazine that Honda has changed to Michelins in India. XM1+ if I am not mistaken.

Can someone confirm the same?

ANHC is offered on Michelin XM1+, Goodyear GT3 (I think, not sure about the tread, could be GPS2 also) and MRF's. And the dealer is right in saying that Michelin's will get you the best resale value.

Thanks Raghava for confirming...now let me see if I can get ANHC with XM1+..I am sure it's going to be another battle getting anything out of the Honda dealer unless it's readily available ...I am sure his response will be "sirrr for that I need to place a special order (read 1 min phone call) for which I'll charge you 1000 bucks"

My AHNC came with Michelin XM1+, no calling them specially or anything like that.

Infact, When I took delivery of my Civic, I insisted that to be fitted with Michelin MXV8's as well. The dealer readily agreed on that, considering the fact that mine was the 1.8E,Base model.

@galant: I dont think it will be much of an issue, Tell them stories of how particular you are about the tires, explain them some stories, I told him I have changed 3 sets of ties on my swift under 30000 KMS. This is what i did

Do the Michelin XM1+ even come in 175/65/15? Their indian website doesn't have them. Check it out:

No tyre manufacturer had a size of 175/65 R15 until the ANHC was launched. And most companies dont update the websites very quickly. So, chances are you might not find that particular size on the website. But, there is a 175/65 R15 by Michelin.

Also, supplied to the replacement market are a little limited. The car is still very new and not too many people are ready to change the tyres yet. Let a year or so pass, then lots of people will come in for tyre replacement.

@kpzen --- The MRf tyre that comes with the car is a new one called ZVTV IIRC. Looks and feels quite similar to the ZSLK though. But as a model, they have introduced a new one.

@Galant --- As Ishan said, ask for yours with Michelin. Quite simply the best tyres among the three.

Nikhil, Is there a 185/60 R15 or 185/65 R15 tire for comfort that would fit the ANHC?

Well, lots of companies are looking to now introduce those sizes, but nothing is confirmed.

If you are Upsizing from 175/65 R15, you can think of 195/60 R15.

Will the stock rims of ANHC fit on 195/60 R15?

My new ANHC bought last month has Michelin 175/65 R15 84T Energy XM1.

While booking I had requested Michelin in particular and dealer found no problem in meeting the demand. At that time, i found most of the Jazz in the stock yard were fitted with the same tyres, and for ANHC, they varied between Goodyear and Michelin.

Does the Jazz and the ANHC share the same rim?
