Then you better change the tyres at the time of fitting alloys. The exchange value of your current tyres may not differ much between now and a few months down the line.

The Reason for change is that i feel that the Ride is Bumpy and makes a lot of Noise when it goes over Potholes. I guess it is because of the Tyre. Also, it is not that Stable at High Speeds and during Cornering.

What sizes does Yokohama have in R12? If 155/70 R12 is available in Yoko then that would be the tyre that I would try.

I currently use Michelin XM1+ in this same size on my 800. I'm satisfied with it (though the price is somewhat high).

If you upgrade tyres go for Alloys, If you stick to stock size then only you can fit the tyres on stock RIMs provided they are in good condition. I changed my Alto tyres to Michelin just because stock tyres were bumpy beyond the limit. With Michelin ride is excellant and performance is decent(60-75kmph is safe speed).

My pick is Michelin or Turanza in stock size.

Really? Would you rather buy a used tyre which has run 80 kms or 8,000 kms?

Second that. On the size front. I'm a Michelin fan and hate Bridgestone! So, I say get the XM1+ in 145/80 R12. Brilliant tyre for Indian roads.

I will never buy a used tyre!:) But his tyres have already done 11000 KM, and a couple of more months may at the most add a couple of thousand more KM.
Will it make a big difference in the buy back rates?

M800 - 145/70-12
Alto - 145/80-12

Of course 80 kms! :)
But, in this case the tires have done more than 10k kms. I guess u would also agree that once the tires have done that much kms the buy back value becomes almost equivalent to fully worn out tires.

My bad, Bridgestone potenza G3's thing says 165/60 r12 goes in for both m800 and alto, I drive an m800 and im driving on 165/60 r13.

Do you drive your m800 and alto on 13 inch rims? This means that 13 inchers can be used for a M800? oh thats wonderful because we dont get a large variety of tyre makes for 12 inchers.

I have nearly made up my mind to go for the Michelin XM1+ 145/80 R12 for my Alto.

However, i have some Concerns :

1) I have heard lots of Good things about XM1+. The only thing i am worried about is the Tread Depth of the Tire and i fear it might wear out very soon as it is not deep compared to the other Tires. Is this a long lasting Tire? I don't want to change them again after 20000 - 30000 Kms.

2) Is it Ok if i run the XM1+ on Stock Rims now and upgrade to Alloys after a couple of Months, which i am planning to as i am falling short of funds now. Any Drawbacks?Or is it advisable to upgrade both at the same time, say after a couple of months.

And finally,

3) Should i consider upgrading to 13" for my Alto or stick to 12". That would mean upgrading both at a later point of time. Is the Performance Improvement substancial on 13 inchers ?
