This Rally will happen. Don’t worry about it. Our Club HMCI is working on this. Even Mr. Madan Mohan, the promoter of this event has spoken to senior people in the Green Tribunal. He is making sure the Vintage cars get exempted.

No, we are from 21 Salute Rally Management Team. The promoter of this event is Mr. Madan Mohan. More than 135 Vintage Car owners have promised to participate in the event. By 15th Jan we will be publish the complete list of 200 + cars. I don’t understand what you mean by 51 Maharaja’s. India has more than 585 princely states. We need you full support to make this event a success.
We will very soon publish the list of judges for this event.
We are also providing full logistics support to the participating cars, 2 Night stay in a 5 star hotel in Gurgaon and chauffeur driven car’s for all means on 6th, 7th and 8th February 2015.
The people who attended the rally last praised it and said they would like to come again. This year rally would be much more grandeur and beautiful. Please don’t worry about the number of Maharaja’s , Mr Madan Mohan will make sure that more than 51 Maharaja’s are present in this event.

Usually heritage class is exempted from the so called rulings. I think an ammendment would come in future.

I see great coverage, albeit with some mistakes which is natural as many reporters are not very knowledgeable on the subject.

A question however, car number 20 is not a vintage car but a made up Morgan lookalike with a contessa engine.

You have also stated that RTO has no power to act on vintage cars and that vintage cars are out of the motor vehicles act! No car in India is out of the motor vehicles act, vintage , classic or modern.

Hi Guys,

I had sent the Lancia to Delhi for this event last year. My friend took it as we had taken the Humber to Paris and so I myself could not go.
As one can see in the posts above, the event was well covered in media and my Lancia too.

My friend came back with all praises, the event was very well managed and hospitality was excellent. This year also they have promised (taken from their mail)

- To-and-fro transit for your precious vehicle from Your City to Gurgaon and back from Gurgaon to your city

- 2 nights 5 star hotel stay for the Vintage Car Owner with breakfast at the hotel

- Royal Lunch and Dinner at our 21 Gun Salute Restaurant

- Airport pick-up & Drop and all day shuttle to the hotel and venue

- Stay for your support staff with all meals

Can anyone be more hospitable? Last time all this was provided. One only has to pay their own fare to Delhi.

I suppose that anyone with a worthy car will be invited, one can just contact them and ask.

I see that they are very serious and want to make this the best event in India. It will be a huge event and one will be able to see many fine cars from various collections.

I did have a bummer in that my car was damaged in transit, willfully. We did have problems with transport too. I informed them and they will address my concern with special care. They listened, and that is something so important for such events. Cartier event follows this and I think this event will be better by far if there is no interference.
