Ponton under restoration

Found this Mercedes Ponton undergoing restoration. Belongs to the garage owner, should be ready in a month, and it is not for sale.

There was an abandoned ponton at Jayanagar 5th block, 40th cross. It was lying there for many years and the owner didnt wanna sell it. It was moved form this location about 3 to 4 months ago, not sure if this is the same one.

The owner has a farm house in Kanakapura, and was going to move this car there, and also is a owner of a popular restaurant in J'nagar 4th block.

Sid, was this car in a cream color originally?

No idea what the previous colour was. The owner told me he got the car from Hassan.

I noticed the same, the car you are mentioning is not there from last few months. But looks like you came first in asking this question

Superb thread, went through all the 47 pages one shot. Was riveting to read through and find so many like minded people and with what passion. Great going guys, hope to start a project of my own, preferably with a Mustang, Charger or Transam...

That garage has always had beauties - chevys, hummers, - why, I've even seen a mini cooper there, very recently.

Here Are pix of a wolesely which was restored here sometime back. The work done was very shoddy ad looked cheap. I remember seeing a pic on the forum of this car in better times.

This fiat 1500 saloon is in the process of being restored.......since quite some time at a local mod job garage here, quite close to the place where my Herald is getting done up. Some of you might remember suren had posted a pic. of the same car sometime earlier in another thread.
Incidentally, one of said garage's mod jobs has been psoted in the wierd and wacky thread before.
No, not to worry, this car isnt another such candidate! Its in fact to be restored to its full original glory by the owner, who is presently searching for an original 1500 engine, probably due to something being irrepairably wrong with the existing one on the car.
I and suren have met the garage owner (and invited him to tbhp as well) who told us he's got all the original parts taken off the car intact with him. So once the owner manages to find an engine, he would resume the resto.

Anybody who could help
