I recognise this Ford Consul. It belongs to Mr.Chetan Vohra and apart from the Statesman Rally, this car has participated in the 'Haig Vintage Car Rally' organized by HMCI in 2007 and 2008. A very original and complete car. If I remember correctly, this car won some Prize at the HMCI/Haig event. I am posting a photograph of Chetan's Consul at a time control check post at the HMCI/ Haig rally, January 2008.

It seems the "C O N S U L" lettering on the bonnet is cut radium stickering. Or is it an illusion?

I had myself photo'd the car when I was in Goa last, a few years ago. She was parked on a main road.

Then someone else posted these pics of the car in Chandigarh. I think it was Manikjeet.

Restoration in Bangalore

Hi, my friend is planning to restore this 57 Chevy Two-Ten: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/vintag...tml#post849476.
I need suggestions for the best place to get this restoration done in Bangalore.
We are looking at getting this done by a well-equipped garage with all the skills required to restore the car. If you have any contact nos., please PM me.

Its really noble on your friend's part to restore this car!

It very much deserves salvation from the long suffering it has been going though so far, although thankfully still very much restorable!

Thanks Stanher, we were just waiting for my friend to get the Green signal to proceed with the car. Now we have it, but alas, no leads turned up yet. The car is standing next to a house which is under demolition, which is why we need to move it to a safer place soon.

A Chevrolet 1929 chassis with many parts brought at my friend's garage and is being restored very, very slowly-parts are tough to come by. Will keep you all posted here about its taking shape.
