The Mercedes, if with a 6 cylinder engine would be a W114. And it would be a 230, not E 230.
6 cylinder cars are preferred over the W115, which have 4 cylinder engines.
A sedan is considered a classic here, actually it is the coupes which are the classics and sedans are more for events like MB club, post war sedans, car shows and less of vintage AND classic car events..

A friend has a nice 1957 Dodge Kingsway for sale.

His description of the car is as under

As discussed, I am attaching here some photos of my Dodge Kingsway 1957.

The Vehicle is Mumbai Registered and I have the original books,though some tax may be pending.

This car is in relatively original condition .

I have fixed a brand new Petrol Tank, new waterpump and a brand new Exhaust!!
It runs beautifully.

This advertisement is for sale of a 1960 Ambassador that has been restored recently. It appears to be among the older Mark I's. There are some gremlins like the gaudy paint work, new Ambassador steering wheel, "manchaha purje lagao" ( meaning fit the spares/ accessories as you like e.g. the indicators, seat upholstery etc) and so on.
The price quoted is also quite high!

Doesnt look quite '65, since its a mk2. Unless the bonnet alone was changed to that of a mk2.

But overall again quite a tired looking car not done up accordingly.

And yes, no comments about the price!

I have been following the Saffronart auctions in India for some time. This is the first time they have ventured into cars, so far they have restricted themselves to art and at most property, This is an indication that the market for classic cars may be on the rise amongst the uninitiated who have no access to brokers plying the trade. If this car sells at all and for how much will give an indication of things to come. We may see a classic car auction soon. Who knows we may get Bonhams soon.

I wonder who is advising them on the pricing for the car, or have they picked up a datum from some source abroad. I think it will beat the estimate.

It's pukka it will beat its estimates. Saffron has sold some art too in past from unrecognised artist on platforms like Sotheby's etc at unheard of rates. But it's a good start.

Those parking/side lights don't seem to be in line with the centerlight, which i think they should be, since i have seen all the other centerlights with these light in line.. or am i seeing wrong??

Looks restored to me and maybe single owner only on paper... no first owner would allow those lights to be placed so blatanly in the wrong place after maintaining the car for 50+ odd years.
