I do have a locally sourced pair with me, can try for another one. But I would really recommend you go for imported ones. The mounts, supporting the engine, need to be good enough to last a lifetime!

Well I have a Ponton So I can only speak for Pontons, The tire sizes were mostly 6.40-13 . Which matches the tire sizes for a Contessa. Interesting to note though is some Pontons also came with 15" tires as options.

Shyam,

Do you still have the front side trim for the Select, that you mentioned to me a while ago. I would need that. May be Shiva can bring the Trim on his visit to Bangy.

I dont think Ceat or MRF makes whitewalls in that size anymore. I had a tough time finding tires for my merc which are also 13".
Amol, would they also stock 7.50x14 WW. I need a set of 4 for my car.

Amol,

B K Tires has a whitewall for Pontons called Ling Long? I thought the only whitewalls suitable that they had were called Maxxis. I'm not so sure I'd like to put tires on my car called Ling Long; my car would be the butt of many jokes! Just asked Indrojit to check out the Maxxis tires they have as he's going to come to Kolkata next week. Any other ideas for reasonable white walls for pontons? If the Maxxis whitewalls are too narrow (they said 1 inch) then I think the best option will be 6.40x13 MRF Twin Treads with inserts. Importing tires from Coker is too expensive for me.

Would appreciate if anybody can find this tyre size is available.

5.00/5.25 x 16 (tyres & tubes), Firestone also used to produce before.

Thanks.

Scooby , the radial size is 215/ 70 R 14. That size is not available. The size avaialble is 175/70 R14 which is for Hyundai Verna. This is if you wish to go for radial tyres. I would be going to BK tyres so i can ask them also if you like.

Thanks Indrojit, I would prefer cross ply, but if no choice then could consider 215/75/14 WW the 75 profile will give me the little added height that we need in India. These are for my '60 biscayne.
