WOW there is a lot of work to be done on that car but if done well you will have a great classic car to enjoy for a long time.

I would suggest you trawl the net , find the Vauxhall club and regester your car with them.

They are the best people who can assist you in your quest for spares and also in the restoration. Buy a restoration or even a workshop manual from them and also check their photo collection for pictures to guide you in restoring this car.

What is the history of the car, when was it last running.

Quite a challenging job amit! It will really be a challenging job to locate the spares that seem to be missing. You can try eBay and other such sites. Most of the outer ornamentations are still there. Even the steering unit has details right upto the horn button.
In the pictures, I could not see the luggage boot cover/lid on its rear.

Re: Vintage & Classic car parts info

Am not sure if SS80 can be considered as a classic but for the benefit of the community i am posting this.
There is one used speedometer of Maruti ss80 available with the mounting bracket(frame which holds the two meters) here which came out from a scrapped car. Condition is pretty decent. Let me know if anybody requires the same.

Re: Vintage & Classic car parts info

Hi Amit_m16, your Vauxhall was nice classic car, but it has lot of work.
The body shell design have some similaries with Hillman, Humber of 1936-46 models, except the Vauxhall unique bonet curve. Would like to see
pics of engine bay and rear pics. How is the engine condition curious to know. I think Vauxhall club is prety large in UK, but you can try Rootes
Group cars spare parts as well if did not get from Vauxhall.

Anyway would be interested to see the progress of its restoration.

Good luck!

Hey, Vauxhall and Hillman/Humber are a comparison like apples and oranges!!!
Vauxhall is a General Motors product, shares roots with Opel, Humber/Hillman are Rootes group products sharing with SInger, for a while Aston Martin, Sunbeam. Go after Vauxhall only, though some Opel parts would fit. Remember the Contessa, well I had an Opel Record and many parts were interchangeable.
This car has potential, do a nice job.

Cheers harit
