Re: Oranges or Apples : SUV or D-Segment?

Suspense thriller - which of these two will happen first?

- Swan will finish his TDs and report here
- I will put up a pic of the alloys on my thread (which I have not dared to post on since!)

Should I put up a poll for this? (cheap shot I guess but Swanand, I hope you know what I am getting at!)

Re: Oranges or Apples : SUV or D-Segment?

From the July sales figures, looks like the Passat Vs Superb monthly performance in sales, is a one sided battle.

Don't wait any longer mate.
The tides are in your favor!

. I wish I could say that I accept the challenge. The way things have been on a personal front, the TD's are just getting postponed. This weekend also does not seem possible, as I am headed to Goa.

Yeah looks like it! Well, to be honest, the decision has almost been made. Now, its only a question of when.

Hopefully, shall start an Initial ownership report before the end of this month .

Re: Oranges or Apples : SUV or D-Segment?

Ok guys, here's an update. We have finally made a choice.

After denying a Petrol sedan and the used car market in my OP's, we finally did settle for exactly that.
The Superb has been the choice. That too a Petrol from the used car market. Done only 14k in about a years time. The seller was known, so all other technical issues were not much of a hassle.

Shall be writing an Initial Ownership report soon.

@All: Thanks a lot for your valuable suggestions.

@Mods: You are more than welcome to close the thread, if need be. Thanks.

Congrats!

Getting a car from a well known person is such a boon. Otherwise one is always left wondering what might crop up next. Especially on a long distance journey.

Looking forward to the ownership report. Once you have it ready, you could tell the mods to add a post to this thread, so all those who were following this thread could get updated the new thread.

All the best!

Very well said indeed. That was precisely the reason we did venture in the used car market segment.

Congrats Swanand! Indeed it is a boon to get your car from a known person. And it is good that I know you
just to let you know I called it first

Please put up your ownership thread with pics soon if you dont want some of us to keep peeking into your parking lot!

Re: Oranges or Apples : SUV or D-Segment?

Congrats Swanand on a wonderful purchase. Do post the ownership thread soon and especially let me know about the oil eating habit of the Petrol Superb, as posted by some other owners. Is that true? Do let us know.

Thanks a ton DKalie. Yes, thread is due soon.
Even Ive heard of the oil problems on the Superb. The previous owner had topped it up once (the car has done only 14k kms), but did not face oil heating problems.
Shall check and update on that too.
