A new Seltos - Minimally used, exceptionally maintained and well appreciated!
A Leh trip - All of a couple of weeks - Important and close to heart nonetheless!
A contender for the trip - Mahindra Thar - a real Jeep (with no offense to Jeep).

The feel of the soft top on Leh terrain is tempting I agree BUT you can surely rock the scene in the Seltos! And it will feel pretty fab I assure you!

Financially too - makes more sense to stay with your current beloved! Roll down the windows all you like

I really feel that this is a vacant place at this moment. A rugged less GIZMO 4*4 is the best option at 15L. The nearby option that can be found are like
ISUZU-VCross (Too costly), TATA - XENON (No more in Production).
