20,000km update

I have completed 20k KMs on my 1 year old 5th Gen facelift City. The service costed me 12020 INR. I know. Bull Manure. I am getting an average mileage of 17kmpl on highway runs and 12kmpl on city runs. The GoodYear assurance triplemax 2 stock tyres are garbage. High NVH and very prone to punctures. Sound insulation is a real issue Honda needs to work on. But AC and some music masks it very easily so not a big deal for me. That is end of my complaints.

I still look back after parking her. I occasionally hit the 4500 rpm on each gear while accelerating from a standstill on empty roads. The pushback and the exhaust note is music. I am under no delusion that is a fast car but somehow it feels fast when accelerating. It gets to triple digit speeds pretty quickly and the downshift overtaking is something that I do more confidently now. I am understanding her better and I feel more integrated with the machine as the time is passing by. I had this problem of adapting to city speeds after a intercity highway travel, but I am now better at adapting to changes in traffic across towns, villages, highways and city roads.

The last 6-8 months, I have appreciated driving on slightly narrow roads with more curves at 60-80kmph than on the long straight highways at triple digit speeds. The car holds it composure during cornering. The maneuverability of the car is a perfect 10/10.

I have scraped half a dozen times but it's very very rare. If the service cost was a little pocket friendly, this car would have been a perfect 10/10 for my needs.
