2014 Toyota Innova facelift prices leaked

The 2014 Toyota Innova facelift is due for an official launch in the next few days. Toyota dealers in India are already showcasing display models of the facelifted MPV and also have the price list. One such dealer price list has surfaced in New Delhi and the list reveals the complete details of the facelifted model's ex-showroom and on-road prices.

Sitting at the very top of the variant chain is the Z model of the Innova, which is priced at 15.07 lakh rupees, ex-showroom Delhi. On-road, the Z variant of the MPV costs 17.67 lakh rupees. The Z variant joins the 9 other variants of the MPV, which is available in 7 and 8 seater versions. Notably, the new, Z variant of the MPV is available only on the diesel variant.

Ex-showroom prices of the base version of the diesel powered Innova starts at 10.69 lakh rupees while that of the petrol powered version starts at 10.2 lakh rupees. Rumours suggest that Toyota Kirloskar India will be launching facelifted versions of select models of the Innova while the rest of the variant line up will continue to sell in pre-facelift guise.

The Innova's last facelift came in early 2012. The official launch will throw more light on this issue. For now, here are the various changes that the facelifted Innova will feature:

  • Revised front bumper
  • New front grille with chrome finish
  • Chrome inserts for fog lamps
  • Stickers on the flanks
  • Chrome strip on the hatch lid
  • Reflectors on the hatch lid
  • New seat fabric
  • Touchscreen infotainment system

Apart from the cosmetic changes, the mechanical bits on the facelifted Innova are carried over unchanged. The diesel engine is a 2.5 liter D-4D unit that is turbocharged and intercooled. This engine outputs 102 PS-200 Nm, and is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox that drives the rear wheels of the MPV.

The petrol engine is a 2 liter-4 cylinder unit that can also be specified in CNG guise in cities such as Delhi and Mumbai. The petrol engined Innova outputs 132 PS-181 Nm and comes with a 5 speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. While the diesel engined Innova is aimed at both family buyers and fleet operators, the petrol variants mainly find takers among corporate and family buyers.
