2022 Kia Sonet details leaked; to get 4 airbags as standard

The 2022 Sonet will get side airbags as standard across all variants.

Kia has made some changes to the Sonet for the 2022 model year. The crossover is set to get new features and colour options.

In addition to the dual front airbags, the 2022 Sonet will get side airbags as standard across all variants. Tyre Pressure Monitoring System will also be available on all variants.

The HTK+ variant gets additional safety features like Brake Assist, ESC, Hill Assist Control and Vehicle Stability Management, while the HTX+ trim will come with side and curtain airbags.

The HTX variant will come equipped with a 4.2-inch colour instrument cluster. Semi-leatherette seats will be offered on the base HTE trim. Other updates include a new Sonet logo, rear seatback folding knob, new Kia Connect Logo and redesigned IRVM with a Kia Connect button.

Kia has also updated the colour palette with the addition of two new exterior colours - Imperial Blue and Sparkling Silver. Shades like Intelligency Blue, Steel Silver, Gold Beige and Gold Beige with a Black roof will be discontinued.

Finally, Kia is likely to increase the prices of the Sonet once these updates are introduced. As per the leaked document, prices will be hiked by Rs. 20,000-30,000.
