2nd-gen Mahindra XUV500’s digital speedometer & touchscreen

Here's a better look at the XUV500's Mercedes-style dashboard.

Earlier this week, spy images of the second generation XUV500 had emerged online that gave us a peek at its digital instrument cluster. The latest image gives us a better look at the Mercedes-style dashboard layout with its wide screen infotainment head-unit and digital speedometer.

It appears that the digital instrument cluster displays the selected gear on the right hand side, while the digital speedometer is on the left. More information is displayed in the centre however it is too difficult to read in this image. The single-piece floating unit also houses the touchscreen infotainment system.

The rather modern dashboard layout isn’t the only highlight of the new XUV500. The SUV will also get flush-fitting door handles – a segment first.

The new model is expected to be offered with a 2.0-litre mStallion T-GDi turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel unit. It will also get a 6-speed automatic transmission option.
