2nd-Gen Rolls Royce Ghost LWB launched at Rs. 7.95 crore

The long wheelbase version of the Ghost costs Rs. 1 crore more than the standard model.

Earlier this month, Rolls Royce revealed the second generation Ghost. Now, the long wheelbase version called the Ghost Extended has been launched in India. It is priced at Rs. 7.95 crore (ex-showroom, India). Deliveries will commence in Q1-2021.

The new Ghost is based on an aluminium spaceframe chassis, which also underpins the Phantom and Cullinan SUV. The Ghost Extended measures 5,715 mm in length and its wheelbase has been stretched by 170 mm over the standard model.

The new Ghost gets reclining rear seats, lamb's wool carpets, champagne fridge between the rear seats, illuminated roof liner with 850 stars including 8 shooting stars mimicking the sky above Rolls-Royce’s headquarters at Goodwood and an 18-speaker music system.

The car is powered by a 6.75-litre, twin-turbo V12 engine with a power output of 563 BHP @ 5,000 rpm and 850 Nm @ 1,600 rpm. Power is sent to all four wheels. 

The car comes with all-wheel steering, a suspension system that features a forward-looking camera that can prepare the suspension based on the road surface and a GPS based transmission that can decide the optimum gear for upcoming corners.
