ARAI document reveals Mahindra TUV300 Plus specs

The upcoming Mahindra TUV300 Plus has been spied on numerous occasions. Recently, the base P4 variant was spotted at a dealership and earlier this week, an invoice with the price of the P4 9-seater variant surfaced online. Now, more details about the TUV300 Plus P4 have been leaked through an ARAI document.

The TUV300 Plus is essentially a longer version of the sub-4 meter TUV300. According to ARAI figures, the vehicle measures 4,398 mm in overall length, 1,815 mm in width and 1,837 mm in height. This means, the TUV300 Plus is longer than the standard model by 403 mm, but its overall width is lesser by 20 mm. The Plus is also lower than the regular car by 2 mm. However, both vehicles share the same wheelbase (2,680 mm). Moreover, the TUV300 Plus weighs 2,430 kg (gross weight) which makes it 205 kg heavier.

Under the bonnet, the TUV300 Plus is powered by a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder mHawk120 diesel engine that develops 118 BHP @ 4,000 rpm. The document does not mention torque figure of the engine. According to media reports, it is believed to be producing around 280 Nm of torque and is expected to be paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The base P4 variant of the TUV300 comes in a 9-seat configuration with side-facing third row seats. While Mahindra is yet to officially announce the price of the vehicle, a leaked invoice has indicated that prices are likely to start at Rs. 9.46 lakh (ex-showroom).
