Audi Q2 e-tron confirmed; Debut expected in 2026

Audi could also introduce a flagship SQ2 version with up to 296 BHP and 400 Nm.

As per reports, Audi has confirmed the all-electric version of its Q2 SUV. The new Audi Q2 e-tron as it will be called is part of the brand's plans to have an electric SUV offering in every major market segment.

The Audi Q2 e-tron is said to slot in as a city SUV and will be part of its four all-electric SUV lineup, which also consists of the Q4 e-tron, Q8 e-tron and the soon-to-be-launched Q6 e-tron.

Audi though has confirmed that the Q2 e-tron will be different from the Q4 e-tron which uses VW's MEB platform. The Q2 e-tron will be a direct contender to Volkswagen's upcoming ID.2 hatchback. The entry-level electric SUV from Audi could offer similar power figures as the Concept ID.2all which features a 222 BHP powertrain with around 450 km of driving range. However, Audi and VW are yet to confirm the same.

Audi could also introduce a flagship SQ2 version with up to 296 BHP and 400 Nm. The German carmaker is expected to make a possible market debut sometime in 2026.
