Autocop rumoured to close operations in India

It has been reported that Autocop India, an electronics and car safety equipment manufacturer, has closed down. It is said that over 70% of the staff have been laid off.

Established at Nashik in 1989, the company is known for its central locking systems, power window modules, reverse parking sensors, cameras and more. In recent times, Autocop was known for its fleet services, and GPS based trackers for private and commercial vehicles.  

The company also used to make mechanical gear locks, courtesy lamps for automobiles, CCTVs, access control systems, fire alarm systems, bomb detectors amongst others.
