Bajaj plans to launch 400 cc Pulsar this fiscal

Bajaj Auto has revealed that it is planning to launch a 400 cc Pulsar motorcycle in the current fiscal. It intends to introduce the bike as a power cruiser. The bike in question is likely to be the CS400, which was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo.

The CS400 (CS stands for Cruiser Sport) is a naked street fighter with a 375 cc, 4-valve triple spark, fuel-injected engine and a 6-speed gearbox. The power and torque figures have not been disclosed. The bike has single disc brakes at the front and read with ABS. Other features include an inverted front suspension, monoshock rear suspension, a short, side-mounted exhaust, all-digital instrumentation and alloy wheels. The concept also had all LED lamps.

Bajaj had also displayed the fully-faired Pulsar SS400 at the Auto Expo. However, the company has not revealed any plans to launch the bike.

Bajaj has been losing ground in the two-wheeler market. To try and arrest the slide, in January 2015, the company announced that it would launch as many as 6 models in 6 months.
