Bajaj starts testing Pulsar CS400

A test mule of a motorcycle believed to be the Bajaj Pulsar CS400 has been spotted.

Earlier this year, Bajaj Auto had revealed that its next launch will be a motorcycle bigger than anything it is currently offering. According to media reports, the bike in question was the production version of the Pulsar CS400 concept, which was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo.

While many of the features seen on the concept have been carried over to the test mule, there are some differences. These include a conventional telescopic fork front suspension instead of an inverted unit and a split seat instead of a single, long unit.

Other features include single disc brakes at the front and rear with ABS, monoshock rear suspension, digital instrumentation with an LCD display unit on the fuel tank, alloy wheels and LED headlight and LED tail lamps.

The Pulsar CS400 is powered by the same 373.4cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four stroke, fuel injected engine that is found on the KTM 390 Duke. This engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission and is expected to produce around 40 BHP.
