BMW Concept Stunt G 310 revealed

The highly anticipated motorcycle from the BMW-TVS collaboration is nearing its arrival date. In the run up to the final unveil, BMW has revealed the concept stunt G 310, on which the 300cc BMW-TVS K3 is based.

Making its premier in Brazil at South America's largest motorcycle show, the concept features bright stunt bike livery, a lockable throttle, an oversized rear brake plus another, even larger rear brake that can be operated through a secondary brake lever place near the clutch. The second brake has been added so a stunt rider can use the rear brake even if his right foot is not on the footpeg during a performance.

A unique feature of the G 310 is the newly developed single cylinder engine that has been inclined towards the rear and the cylinder head that has been rotated by 180 degrees. BMW says this has permitted the designers to make the bike more agile, by giving it a shorter wheelbase in spite of the long swing arm. With the intake up front and the exhaust system at the rear, the muffler has been place in a downward facing, upright posture, between the engine and rear monoshock.

The production version is expected to make its debut at EICMA Milan next month and the K3 platform will be used to produce multiple new models, all under 500cc in displacement. When the motorcycle makes its debut in India and under what brand, remains to be seen. What is confirmed is that it will be produced in India by TVS.
