BMW iX1 electric SUV teased ahead of its official debut

The iX1 could feature BMW's latest eDrive technology offering a range of up to 438 km.

BMW has released a teaser image of the upcoming iX1 electric SUV. The car will debut later this year.

The teaser image is a design sketch of the front fascia of the iX1. It features a large kidney grille and the brand's signature twin-pod headlamps with C-shaped LED daytime running lights. The SUV could get blue highlights on the grille bumper to differentiate it from the regular X1.

BMW is yet to reveal the details of the iX1's electric powertrain. However, the SUV is rumoured to get BMW's latest eDrive technology offering a range of up to 438 km.

According to BMW, the iX1 will be positioned in the high-volume premium compact segment.
