BYD Atto 3 electric SUV launched at Rs 34 lakh

The Atto 3 is the Chinese brand’s second all-electric offering in India. It is positioned above the e6 MPV.

BYD has launched the Atto 3 in India. The electric SUV is priced at Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Atto 3 is the Chinese brand’s second all-electric offering in India. It is positioned above the e6 MPV. The electric SUV is based on the brand’s ‘Dragon Face 3.0’ design philosophy and features a blanked-out chrome grille with sleek LED headlamps. The rear features wraparound LED tail lights with a light bar.

Inside, the Atto 3 comes equipped with a rotating 12.8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a digital instrument cluster. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, powered front seats and a one-touch electric tailgate. The SUV also gets ADAS along with 7 airbags, ABS, ESP, hill-hold assist, and a 360-degree camera.

In India, the BYD Atto 3 is available with a 60.48 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 521 km (ARAI). It powers an electric motor mounted on the front axle. It makes 201 BHP and 310 Nm. BYD claims the Atto 3 can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.

The Atto 3 uses BYD’s blade battery, which can also be used to run large appliances. The vehicle-to-load function has an output of up to 3.3 kW.

BYD offers an 8-year / 1.6 lakh km warranty on the battery and an 8-year / 1.5 lakh km warranty on the motor and motor assembly. The company also offers a 6-year / 1.5 lakh km warranty on DC high-voltage components.

The Atto 3 is available in 4 colour options: Boulder Grey, Parkour Red, Ski White and Surf Blue.
