Citroen Basalt coupe spotted testing without camouflage

The Citroen Basalt will use the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine which powers the C3 and C3 Aircross.

The Citroen Basalt has been caught testing once again. However, this time, the car was spotted with no camouflage whatsoever.

The Citroen Basalt is a coupe SUV that shares its underpinnings with the C3 Aircross, which is already on sale in India. It looks rather good as a stylish coupe.

The Basalt has a notchback design with a sloping roof line, a short tail section with an integrated spoiler and wraparound taillamps. The car features black plastic cladding around the wheel arches, giving it a slightly rugged look and flap-type door handles.

Inside, the Basalt is likely to get a large touchscreen infotainment system in the centre and a digital instrument cluster, along with features such as automatic climate control, 6 airbags, front parking sensors and more.

In India, the Citroen Basalt will use the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine which powers the C3 and C3 Aircross. It develops 108 BHP and 189 Nm and could be offered with manual and automatic transmissions.
