Citroen C3 production begins in Brazil ahead of India launch

In India, the Citroen C3 will compete with the Tata Punch, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.

The production of the Citroen C3 has kicked off in Brazil. The crossover is being manufactured at Citroen's Porto Real facility.

The Citroen C3 is the brand's entry-level crossover that is scheduled to be launched in India later this year. It will compete with the likes of the Tata Punch, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.

The C3 is based on the CMP modular platform. It features a funky exterior, which is typical of the brand. The car gets a dual-tone exterior and black plastic cladding.

On the inside, it gets a dual-tone dashboard with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit, a digital instrument cluster and a smartphone holder.

In India, the Citroen C3 is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. It is likely to be paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
