Driving license, RC validity extended till September 30

The government of India has extended the validity of driving licenses, registration certificates (RC) and other documents like permits and fitness certificates till September 30, 2020. The decision was taken due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

Vehicle documents that have expired on June 30 will now be valid till September 30, 2020. An advisory regarding the same has been issued to all the states and union territories.

Earlier, the government had extended the validity of vehicle documents expiring between February 1 and June 30 till June 30, 2020.
