Ducati has launched Panigale V2 in India. The superbike is positioned below the Panigale V4 and is priced at Rs. 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Panigale V2 is based on an aluminium monocoque chassis. It has a wheelbase of 1,436 mm and the bike weighs 176 kg (dry weight).
The Panigale V2 is powered by a 955cc, L-twin cylinder engine that produces 153 BHP @ 10,750 rpm and 104 Nm @ 9,000 rpm. The BS6-compliant engine delivers a higher output (5 BHP / 2 Nm) thanks to new injectors and snorkel which is said to minimize pressure loss. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch.
It features Showa 43 mm fork suspension at the front with a Sachs monoshock at the rear and a single-sided swingarm. The bike is equipped with twin 320 mm disc brakes at the front and a single 245 mm disc at the rear. It rides on 17-inch wheels shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa II tyres.
The Panigale V2 comes with three riding modes - Race, Sport and Street. These can be adjusted via the 4.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The bike also gets Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down EVO 2 and a Sachs steering damper as standard. The bike also gets Cornering ABS EVO, traction control, wheelie control, Engine Brake Control EVO and auto tyre calibration.
