Eicher-Polaris has signed a strategic agreement with Bank of India for providing financing options to potential buyers of the Eicher-Polaris Multix. Under the said agreement, Bank of India will be providing vehicle financing options to potential customers across its 4,900 branches and all proposed Eicher-Polaris dealerships.
The Multix has been developed under a Joint Venture of Eicher and Polaris, and is currently manufactured at a facility in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is marketed as a private utility vehicle and can be registered by private owners as well. Powered by a 510.7 cc, single-cylinder engine that develops 9.8 BHP and 27.1 Nm of torque, the Multix is a 5-seater that also has a loading bay at the back.
However, the USP of the Multix is an X-Port through which, the power generated from the engine can be used to power professional equipment like drilling machines, water pumps, etc. Up to 3 kW of power can be extracted from the Multix's diesel engine via the X-Port.
