Ertiga based Maruti XL6 MPV spied

The first images of the Ertiga-based Maruti XL6 MPV have surfaced online. The car is rumoured to be launched on August 21, 2019.

The XL6 is a 6-seater version of the Ertiga. The spy images suggest that the car is likely to get dual-tone bumpers with a silver skid plate and plastic cladding around the wheel arches. It also has a dual-tone cladding along the door sills. The XL6 has blacked-out B and C-pillars, roof rails and chrome door handles. It has a chrome strip on the boot lid and L-shaped tail lights similar to the Ertiga. Note the NEXA badge on the rear windshield, suggesting that this model is likely to be sold through Maruti's NEXA retail channel.

On the inside, the XL6 is expected to get black interiors with captain seats in the second row. It could get a Smart Play Studio touchscreen infotainment system among other features.

The Maruti XL6 could be powered by the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. In the standard Ertiga, this unit puts out 103 BHP and 138 Nm of torque and comes paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
