Fiat Linea 125 S with 123 BHP launched

Fiat has launched a more powerful version of the Linea in India. It is called the Linea 125 S, where the 125 S suffix points towards the fact that the car gets a 125 PS (123 BHP) engine. Fiat claims that it is the most powerful sedan in its segment. The Linea petrol range starts at Rs. 7.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the Linea 125 S will cost around Rs. 11.5 lakh (on-road Delhi).

The existing 1.4-litre, turbocharged T-jet petrol engine has been reworked, in order to help it develop 123 BHP and 210 Nm of torque. The same engine in the regular Linea T-Jet produces 113 BHP. The Linea 125 S is equipped with the same 5-speed manual gearbox that is offered in the regular Linea.

In addition to the aforementioned changes under the hood, the Linea 125 S gets a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation. Other features that have been carried forward from the regular model include ambient lighting, rear sun curtain, 16-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps, single-touch power windows, cruise control, and disc brakes on all four wheels.
