Fiat Linea Elegante limited edition in the works

While official word on the launch is still awaited, recent images have hinted that Fiat is readying a limited edition "Elegante" variant of the Linea sedan for launch.

Cosmetic changes such as a black roof, new alloy wheels, decals, a tweaked grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, side skirts and a boot-mounted rear spoiler are apparent in the pictures. There is an Elegante badge on the front fender too. On the inside, the Elegante gets a touch-screen infotainment system, as can be seen in the 3rd picture.

Mechanically, the Elegante is expected to be identical to the regular Linea.

The Linea has been sitting at the bottom of the C2 segment sedan segment in the sales chart. With the Elegante, the company will try to attract more customers to its showrooms. The Aegea, which was recently unveiled in Turkey, is believed to be replacement for the Linea and will go into production in 2016.
