Force Gurkha RFC India 2017 to be held in Goa from July 22-30

The fourth edition of the Force Gurkha Rainforest Challenge (RFC) India 2017 will be held from July 22 to July 30, 2017, in Goa. Cougar Motorsports, organisers of RFC India, have announced the closure of registration for this year's event.

For the 2017 season, RFC India has recorded 40 entries, including 8 teams from Hyderabad, 7 from Kerala, 4 from Mumbai, 7 from Karnataka, 3 teams each from Goa, Delhi and Chandigarh, 2 each from Pune & Tamil Nadu and a single entry from Yamunanagar. This is the highest number of entries ever recorded for an RFC India season.

RFC India was first organised in the year 2014. It is considered to be one of the toughest and most challenging off-road competitions in the country. For its fourth edition, the organisers are claiming to make the competition tougher by slightly changing the event's format. Though exact details about the changes made will only be announced at the venue, organisers have indicated that they will be making some format and sequence changes in the special stages, while some new sites will also be added to the off-road course.

Winners of RFC India 2017 will earn a fully sponsored entry into the RFC 2017 Grand Final which will be held in Malaysia by the end of this year.
