Ford Everest (Endeavour) facelift unveiled

Ford has unveiled the Everest (Endeavour) facelift for the Australian and other Asian markets. The update includes minor changes to the exterior, interior, a new engine and added safety features.

At the front, the SUV gets a revised front grille finished in chrome, a revised front bumper with silver inserts and an integrated scuff plate. The headlights are also tweaked. The vehicle is now offered with 20-inch alloy wheels.

On the inside, the new Everest comes with soft-touch surfaces. The equipment list includes hands-free tailgate and Ford SYNC3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Ford has also updated the safety features by introducing pedestrian detection with autonomous emergency braking.

In Australia, Ford will offer the Everest with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, twin-turbo diesel engine from the Ranger Raptor pickup. This engine produces 211 BHP and 500 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm and comes mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission. The entry-level variants are powered by the existing 3.2-litre, 5-cylinder diesel.
