The Ford Freestyle shares its platform with the Figo hatchback. It measures 3,954 mm in overall length, 1,737 mm in width and 1,570 mm in height, while its wheelbase is 2,490 mm. The Freestyle has a 257-litre boot and it comes with a 40 / 42-litre fuel tank depending on the choice of engine.

In terms of it’s styling, the Freestyle gets a blacked-out mesh grille in the front flanked by a pair of smoked headlights. The dual-tone front bumper is new and features a large air dam with an integrated silver scuff plate and C-shaped fog lamp pods. The car comes with a black body kit. The Freestyle gets blacked-out ORVMs with integrated turn signals, blacked-out B-pillars and silver roof rails. The rear features a roof spoiler and redesigned bumper with a silver scuff plate.

The Freestyle gets a dual-tone dashboard with a centrally mounted 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It comes with a 3-spoke multi-functional steering wheel with gloss black trim and a 3-pod instrument cluster. The car gets chrome bezels around the circular air-conditioning vents and chrome door handles. The hand rest has brown trim to match the dashboard, while the seats gets fabric upholstery with a horizontal pattern.

In terms of features, the touchscreen infotainment system is available on all variants except for the base Ambiente trim, while SYNC3 with voice control, mobile navigation with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with steering mounted audio and phone controls is offered on the top-spec Titanium+ variant only. Features like automatic climate control, electric ORVMs, height adjustable driver seat, rear washer, wiper and defogger are available only on the top 2 trim levels. Further, the Titanium+ variant gets automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and Ford MyKey.

Safety features like ABS with EBD, front dual airbags (Titanium+ gets additional side and curtain airbags), seat belt reminder and high-speed warning and reverse parking sensors are standard on all variants. The top 3 variants get front and rear fog lamps along with rear view camera.
