Full-faired Suzuki Gixxer-based bike spotted

A full-faired motorcycle was spotted testing in Delhi. The bike is believed to be based on the Suzuki Gixxer, a naked 150 cc motorcycle that was launched in India earlier this year.

The spy image shows the full-faired bike being tested with the Gixxer. It has a headlamp similar to the unit we have on the legendary Hayabusa and mirrors mounted on the fairing. The engine of the bike seems to be cover well by the fairing. Parts like the fuel tank, exhaust, foot pegs, wheels, disc brake, suspensions and seat seem to be carried over from the Gixxer. However, Suzuki appears to have replaced the Gixxer's split grab rail with a single piece unit.

The new bike is expected to use the Gixxer's 155 cc, single-cylinder engine that develops 14.6 bhp @ 8000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque @ 6000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and features Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology, which the company claims, enhances fuel efficiency.

The full-faired Gixxer is expected to be launched in mid-2015 and will take on the Yamaha Fazer.
