Heavily updated Tata Nexon spied for the first time

The styling of the all-new Nexon is expected to be inspired by the Tata Curvv concept.

The camouflaged test mule of the Tata Nexon featuring a heavily redesigned exterior has been spied on Indian roads for the first time.

The latest spy images confirm that Tata Motors is indeed working on a major update for the Nexon. While it’s difficult to comment on the exact changes made to the compact SUV, it appears that the upcoming Nexon will receive a completely new front fascia with a split headlamp design.

The new Nexon is also expected to receive major design updates to the rear. That being said, the car retains its coupe-like roofline and raked rear windshield. The test car is also equipped with a sunroof, roof rails and a shark fin antenna.

Inside, the all-new Nexon could receive several updates, including a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a new digital instrument cluster.

Under the bonnet, the new Nexon is expected to get the new-gen 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that was announced at Auto Expo 2023. This engine develops 123 BHP and 225 Nm. The current 1.5-litre diesel engine is likely to be offered as an option.
