Hero MotoCorp's upcoming Dash scooter spotted testing

Though Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Dash 110 cc scooter in January 2014, it has not yet introduced the product in the market. Now however, the scooter has been spotted doing test runs, indicating that the launch may not be too far off.

The Hero Dash sports a 111 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8.44 bhp and 9.4 Nm of torque and is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The scooter has a 6-litre fuel tank and an external fuel lid. Hero has provided a telescopic front suspension and drum brakes all round with an integrated braking system. The scooter weighs 110 kg.

Other features include turn-indicators mounted on the front apron, LED tail lamps, a digital instrument cluster with low fuel, service, and side stand indicators, power outlet to charge a mobile phone, and illuminated under-seat storage.

The Dash is likely to sit at the top of Hero's current scooter range and will be aimed at the market-leading Honda Activa.
