Honda Grom (MSX125) spotted testing in India

Honda Grom also known as the MSX125 has been caught testing in India. The mini bike was spotted near Shimla.

The bike can be seen sporting black bodywork with silver details and gold alloy wheels. It also gets LED headlight and tail lamp and a digital instrument cluster.

Honda sells the Grom as the MSX125 in the European market. The bike measures 1,760 mm in length, 755 mm in width and 1,010 mm in height. The compact bike has a wheelbase of 1,200 mm. The seat height is 765 mm and the kerb weight is 101.7 kg. Fuel tank capacity is 5.5 litres.

The MSX125 (Grom) is powered by a horizontally-mounted 124.9cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with electronic fuel injection that delivers 9.6 BHP @ 7,000 rpm and 10.9 Nm @ 5,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 4-speed gearbox. It uses 31 mm inverted telescopic shocks in the front and a mono-shock setup at the rear. Brakes come in the form of a single 220-mm disc with 2-piston caliper in the front and a 190-mm disc with a single piston caliper setup at the rear.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has been tight-lipped about their future products, hence it is unclear whether the Grom will be offered in the Indian market anytime soon.
