Honda Jazz scores 5 stars in ANCAP crash tests

The new Honda Jazz has scored a 5-star rating in the Australasian New Car Assessment Programme (ANCAP) crash tests. In the frontal impact crash test, the Jazz managed to score a total of 15.58 out of 16 points, while in the side impact tests, it scored 16 out of 16. The car did well in whiplash protection assessment and pedestrian protection was found to be acceptable as well. The hatchback scored at total of 36.58 points out of a possible 37.

The Jazz comes with safety features such as dual frontal, side chest and side head airbags (curtains), anti-lock brakes (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and electronic stability control (ESC) as standard. All the seats of the car are fitted with advanced seat belt reminders are fitted to all seats. Additionally, all Jazz variants come with reversing collision avoidance and emergency stop signal (ESS) as standard.

Honda is expected to launch the Jazz in India later this year. However, the car may not be offered with all the safety features that the Australian market gets.
