Honda recalls Activa 125, Aviator & Grazia for fork issue

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has issued a recall of three of its scooters. The Activa 125, Aviator and the newly launched Grazia have been recalled for a suspected quality issue in the front fork.

According to HMSI, there is a suspected quality issue of excessive hardness in the Bolt Flange 10x42 mounted in the front fork. A total of 56,194 units manufactured between February 7 to March 16, 2018 have been affected by this issue.

Affected owners will be notified via call / e-mail / SMS to get their scooter inspected at their nearest authorized service centre. Customers can also check if their scooter is among the lot recalled by submitting their vehicle identification number (VIN) on HMSI website.

Honda will inspect the suspected part and replace it only if required. The part replacement will be done free of cost and irrespective of the warranty status of the affected vehicle.
