Honda X-Blade 160 cc motorcycle bookings open

The Honda X-Blade was unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has now announced bookings for the new 160 cc bike. The company hasn't revealed the official pricing yet but according to Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President - Sales and Marketing, HMSI, the X-Blade will be priced under Rs. 79,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) placing it below the CB Hornet 160R.

The new Honda X-Blade is based on the same platform as the CB Hornet 160R. It measures 2,013 mm in length, 786 mm in width and 1,115 mm in height while its wheelbase is 1,347 mm. The bike comes with an LED headlight with an integrated LED DRL and a full-digital instrument panel. The X-Blade has dual-tone bodywork and front fender and a split grab handle at the rear. Like the CB Hornet, the X-Blade too gets conventional telescopic front forks and a monoshock rear suspension.

The Honda X-Blade is powered by a 162.71 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 13.93 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 13.9 Nm @ 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Brakes come in the form of a 276 mm petal type front disc and a 130 mm drum at the rear.

The Honda X-Blade will compete with the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 and Suzuki Gixxer in the Indian market.
