HORIBA MIRA opens vehicle engineering facility in Pune

HORIBA MIRA, a UK-based automotive engineering and development consultancy firm that deals in advanced engineering, research and product development, has announced the opening of a new vehicle engineering facility in India. This new facility is located within the existing HORIBA India Private Limited Technical Centre in Pune.

With the new vehicle engineering centre, HORIBA MIRA will be providing a suite of emissions testing services for vehicle manufacturers. The company acknowledges the fact that since the Indian automotive industry is growing at a rapid pace, air pollution has become a key concern for leading manufacturers in the country. The impending introduction of the stricter BSVI emission standards have further forced automakers to concentrate on vehicular emissions.

Together with HORIBA’s Portable Emissions Measurement System (PEMS) and the company's engineering experience, the new facility will provide test services that will help automakers to meet BSVI compliance. The new vehicle engineering facility is spread over an area of 10,000 square metres.
