How to get a duplicate RC in Telangana without involving any RTO agents

Go to the Regional Transport Office along with your application, missing registration certificate xerox, PUC certificate, car insurance xerox, and submit your application.

BHPian mrkireeti recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

After waiting for a week, I realised that the Speed Post Tracking Number provided is not valid. Fearing that it may not be delivered like the last time (2020), I went to the RTO and asked them to hand over the RC in person. Thankfully, it was not in the list of RCs dispatched through Speed Post for the date of my appointment. So my RC was available with them, and I collected the same.

In summary, the following is the process for a duplicate RC application in Telangana without any broker support.

  1. Go to the Meeseva center (don't go through the online application on Meeseva website)
  2. Apply for missing RC certificate
  3. They will ask you to write a letter addressed to the police stating the reasons for the lost RC
  4. You need to attach RC xerox copy along with ID Proof and Address Proof
  5. Meeseva center will give you an affidavit on stamp paper along with the above documents
  6. You will have to submit the above affidavit with supporting documents in the Tech Wing of the police station (station covering the area where you lost the RC)
  7. Follow-up a couple of times with the Police to clear your missing certificate application (you may get a call from the Police in some cases - I didn't get one)
  8. Police confirms the clearance of the application on their portal
  9. Go to Meeseva Center and take a print out of the Missing RC certificate
  10. Apply online through for RC duplicate
  11. Book a slot for RC Duplicate application submission and make the payment online
  12. Go to the RTO on the date of appointment along with the Application, Xerox Copy of the missing RC, Pollution Certificate + Vehicle Insurance Copy and submit your application as guided by the RTO Staff
  13. Collect a slip confirming the application receipt towards the end of the application process at the RTO
  14. Check the application status online till the time it shows that the RC card is printed
  15. Go to RTO and collect the card in person or wait for its delivery (if at all you are able to track through the speed post tracking link)

Hope this helps at least some folks.
