Hyundai Creta facelift teased; to be unveiled at GIIAS 2021

In India, the Creta facelift is likely to retain the same petrol and diesel engine options as before.

Hyundai has released new teaser images of the upcoming Creta facelift. The SUV is set to debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2021 (GIIAS) next month.

The updated Creta gets a redesigned front fascia inspired by the new Tucson. It features a Parametric Jewel grille and Parametric Jewel Hidden daytime running lights integrated into the grille. The rear features boomerang-shaped LED taillights similar to the current model.

There don't seem to be any changes made to the interior though. The car gets a dual-tone dashboard with a touchscreen in the centre. It gets a 4-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster.

The Creta facelift will initially be launched in the Indonesian market and could arrive at our shores at a later date. In India, the SUV is likely to retain the same engine options as before. These include a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, petrol engine producing 113 BHP and 144 Nm, a 1.4-litre, turbo petrol that makes 138 BHP and 242 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that puts out 113 BHP and 250 Nm. The petrol engines are available with a 6-speed manual, a 7-speed DCT and a CVT, while the diesel engine comes with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.
